On Thursday Class One went to Stoke Mandeville Stadium because we are learning about the Olympics. When I got to school I was very excited. Then when we were all ready we got on the coach. It didn’t take very long to get there. Straight away I saw Splash Mandeville. After that we entered the sports hall where we met Ian a wheelchair rugby player. He asked us loads of questions and loads and loads of us put our hands up. Next Ian asked for a volunteer and Mr Baskerville sat in one of the wheelchairs and Ian bashed into Mr Baskerville as they do in the sport. Then Ian handed his wheelchair rugby ball around. When the ball got to Miss Nash she was very excited and got a photo with the ball. Meanwhile we went to see the swimming pool it had flags saying London 2012! After that we went to see some wheelchair tennis. Then we did the 100 metres!! Afterwards we went back into the hall and got into real wheelchairs. Ollie told us the instructions. Then the teachers had a race Mr Baskerville came last and Miss Strube came first! Miss Nash won the next race. Then we got back onto the coach. After we got back to have our hot dinners they were very yummy. The End.
