Gurdwara Trip - 1st November 2017
On Wednesday 1st November Class 6 went to the Gurdwara in Slough, this is a Sikh place of worship. A Sikh called Nirmal greeted us and showed us around the temple. At the Gurdwara they wear special head wear such as turbans but we were given bandanas to wear. Throughout the Gurdwara we met many volunteers that help make food for anyone who needs it and they read for the Guru Granth Sahib upstairs. Evie, Riley and Mr Gouldstone tried on turbans while we were upstairs. We had lunch in the Langar Kitchen, where we sat on mats on the floor. We were really lucky as the volunteers at the Gurdwara gave us some chocolate to say thank you for visiting. We all learnt a lot during our visit.
